The U.S. Government is issuing a Sources Sought Notice for potential contractors capable of providing software and hardware update maintenance services for telemetry data systems, radar systems, and field telemetry systems. While the government currently intends to award a sole source contract to NetAcquire Corp., it is seeking information from interested vendors—including small businesses across various socioeconomic categories—to support possible competitive procurement and identify viable alternatives. This effort is aimed at ensuring fair market pricing and assessing whether competition can be facilitated under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 517919, with a size standard of $32.5 million. Respondents are encouraged to provide detailed information about their capabilities, experience, price structures, and suggestions on improving contract requirements to promote competition. Interested parties must submit their responses by September 5, 2016, including firm identification details, business size and status, interest in prime contracting or teaming arrangements, and relevant past experience with similar government or commercial contracts. The government also requests input on any factors that may restrict competition and recommendations for adjustments in the contracting approach or specifications. This notice does not constitute a solicitation or commitment to contract, nor does it seek quotes or proposals at this time. The office handling this notice is the Department of Defense at Fort Hood, Texas, with performance expected at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. The government advises all interested vendors to monitor official procurement portals for any future solicitations related to this requirement.
