Hazardous Materials Labeling and SDS Management

The contract requires the application of OSHA-compliant hazard labels and MIL-STD-129 markings on containers and packaging containing preservation chemicals, ensuring all physical and chemical hazards are accurately identified and documented according to federal safety and military standards. The contractor must possess the expertise to properly classify, label, and mark hazardous materials in alignment with both occupational safety regulations and Department of Defense logistical requirements, enabling safe handling, storage, and transport throughout the supply chain. In addition to labeling, the contractor is responsible for authoring, reviewing, and submitting complete Safety Data Sheets (SDS) that meet all applicable regulatory thresholds, including OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard and other federal guidelines. Compliance must be maintained at every stage of documentation, with updated SDS versions provided promptly when chemical formulations or safety information changes. The work is to be performed at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, under a subcontract arrangement administered by the ASC Commodities Division of the Department of Defense, with responses due by August 17, 2026.
