Hazardous Waste Management Services

Public Services and Procurement Canada has issued solicitation SPMD-26-CDHW/A for the collection, transport, and disposal of approximately 6,665 kg of hazardous waste from two separate locations within Montreal, Quebec. The scope of work includes the handling of chlorine dioxide waste in bags and boxes, isocyanate waste in approximately forty 200 kg drums, and hand sanitizer wipes. The contractor is responsible for the entire logistics chain, including the return of a sea cargo container to its origin and ensuring the sites are left clean and free of debris. All disposal must be conducted at government licensed facilities approved by the Government of Quebec or Ontario, and materials must be rendered unusable under the Food and Drugs Act. To be eligible, offerors must be approved suppliers on the EW479-162880/C Hazardous Waste Disposal Supply Arrangement. The contract will be awarded to the compliant bidder offering the lowest overall price. Key requirements include providing the name of the disposal facility within three days of award and maintaining comprehensive insurance coverage, including sudden and accidental pollution and general contractual liability. The contractor assumes full liability for any damages resulting from improper packaging, labeling, or carriage of the hazardous materials.
