Full Description

The purpose of this posting is to state that NOAA Aircraft Operations Center at MacDill AFB, FL is awarding a purchase order (PO) for the purchase of 8 each Herley-New England Receiver Protector part # MD-094X008 rev Current in order to further expand and upgrade the Tail Doppler Radar System for the NOAA WP-3 aircraft. Herley-New England is the only known source that can provide the equipment needed in order to complete the task. The Government is not aware of any other vendors that can provide the required equipment while also meeting all of the requirements. To the best of the Government's knowledge there are no other vendors available who can meet the requirements needed in order to compete for this project. A sources sought notice was posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website https://www.fbo.gov/ on 8/14/2015 under Solicitation # NMAN6000-15-01700. The Government will now award a PO to Herley-New England located in Woburn, MA in order to fulfill this requirement.
