High Speed Camera

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) located on the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD has a requirement for a high speed video camera with the high light sensitivity capability. Due to budget constraints we have a limit of $70,000.00.This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This request for quotes (RFQ) for commercial items is in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to check the website, http://www.fbo.gov, for the issuance of any amendments to the solicitation. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-43. The Government will award a single award, firm fixed price (FFP) order. To be eligible for contract award, a contractor must register with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database by the due date of solicitation. For instructions on registering with CCR, please see CCR's website at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/default.aspx. Include shipping and handling charges, if applicable. Items will be shipped to Bethesda, MD 20814. With your quote, you must provide product description and pictures. Award will be made on a best value determination considering the following evaluation factors: a. Price: Offerors must provide a unit price for each item. USUHS is a part of the Department of Defense (DoD) and is tax exempt. Do not include taxes in your quoted price. b. Technical: Offerors must submit product literature demonstrating the product quoted meets the minimum specifications. Submit a completed copy of FAR Provision 52.212-3. With your quote, please address the following questions that apply: - In what country is/are the item(s) manufactured? - Will you accept VISA for payment? - Have all relevant discounts been applied, i.e. government or education? - Is this the lowest price that you can offer to any of your customers? If not, why did we not receive the lowest price? - Have all relevant charges been applied, i.e. shipping? - What is the lead time? Please see attached for applicable provisions and clauses. Questions must be submitted via email to contact@example.gov and CC to contact@example.gov by 4:30pm est. on August 10, 2010. Questions submitted after this date will not be answered. Questions will not be answered over the telephone, but will be answered in an amendment to the solicitation posted on or about August 12, 2010. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor FedBizOpps for any amendments to the solicitation. All quotes are due 16 August 2010 by 4:30pm EST. Quotes must be emailed to contact@example.gov. USUHS is located on a secure installation and base access will not be provided nor will anyone be able to meet offerors at the gate to accept quotes. The Government reserves the right to award without discussions.
