Full Description

Intent to Sole Source: The Department of the Treasury's Bureau of the Public Debt (BPD), intends to negotiate a sole-source procurement with Hirsch Electronics Corporation for server, software and database service and support for BPD's Hirsch Electronics Physical Access Control System (PACS). The Government intends to award a firm fixed contract for a base year, with 9 one year option periods. Hirsch Electronics is the only provider of server, software and database support for their proprietary Physical Access Control System (PACS) software. This service is not the same as programming performed by their authorized dealers which is limited to the application (velocity) and the controller and door hardware. No other manufacturers offer compatible equipment that could link up with what is currently installed. If no affirmative written response is received, that clearly demonstrates the ability to meet all the requirements, and that is more advantageous to the Government, we intend to negotiate a sole-source award to Hirsch Electornics.
