THIS PROCUREMENT IS SET ASIDE TO SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY The following socio-economic Small Business Categories are strongly encouraged to apply: SMALL BUSINESSES SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESSES 8(a) PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS WOMAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESSES SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESSES HUBZONE PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS NOTICE FOR SOLICITATION: 47PF0022R0057 DESCRIPTION: The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes (Region 5), will be issuing a solicitation for the Duluth Federal Building and US Courthouse HVAC, Lighting & Sprinkler Modernization ProjectHVAC and general construction services at the Heaney Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse, 515 West 1st Street, Duluth, Minnesota 55802. The purpose of this project is to replace the ventilation systems.This work includes the phased removal and replacement of the ventilation systems on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors. The scope includes, but is not limited to, necessary abatement and mitigation of hazardous materials, replacement of air handlers, heating/chilled water piping, general construction modifications to support work, extended fire protection systems, electrical, lighting, upgrades to support the work, and ceiling replacement. The expected dollar range for this procurement is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The performance period is 295 days upon the receipt of the on-site Notice to Proceed. Due to the technical nature of this procurement, firms will be required to submit a technical package that demonstrates their experience and expertise working with HVAC and general construction modifications to support the aforementioned scope of work, Firms will demonstrate this by providing three (3) similar projects that have been completed in the past eight (8) years that demonstrate the ability to replace ventilation systems. Interested firms will also need to provide acceptable past performance. The contractor is to provide all management, supervision, manpower, equipment and supplies necessary for this project. The proposed contract is being solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238220 (Plumbing, Heating, and Air Conditioner Contracting).
