HVAC Water Treatment

The School District of Greenville County is soliciting proposals under solicitation number 327-26 for a turnkey HVAC water treatment solution. The selected contractor will provide chemicals and services to maintain and protect hydronic heating, chilled water, condenser water, and 2- and 4-pipe heating and cooling systems across various district facilities. Key responsibilities include routine inspections, lab analysis, strainer maintenance, annual cooling tower cleaning, and bi-annual Legionella testing with mandatory remediation at no cost if positive results occur. All services and chemicals must comply with EPA, OSHA, SCDES, ASHRAE, and CTI standards, as well as equipment manufacturer guidelines. The contract is for an initial one-year term starting from the date of award, with the option to extend annually for up to five years. Award decisions will be based on the overall highest-ranked responsible firm, with a strong emphasis on the vendor's ability to meet a critical project timeline. Required submission documents include a detailed pricing form inclusive of a 6% South Carolina sales tax, proof of insurance including pollution liability coverage, a business license, and certifications regarding a drug-free workplace and a lack of criminal or civil liability. Contractors must also provide a master SDS binder to the District Maintenance Department and maintain SDS notebooks in each mechanical room.
