The contract involves hydraulic dredging within the Mississippi River navigation channel, specifically between river miles 613 and 301 under the jurisdiction of the US Army Corps of Engineers Rock Island District. Multiple requests for quotes may be issued for dredging projects ranging from 15,000 to 125,000 cubic yards of material. Dredged material will be pumped to designated placement sites that can include shoreline, in-water (thalweg), or upland locations, with pumping distances typically up to 2 miles but potentially as far as 4 miles. Materials must remain confined within the specified placement areas.
