Full Description
DLA Disposition Services intends to award a sole source contract according to FAR Part 6 and FAR Part 12 to CNC Solutions LLC (CAGE: JTR6). The acquisition is pursued according to procedures in FAR 6.103-1(b), 12.102(b) and 12.201-1. The services for this contract will provide critical preventative maintenance and correct maintenance to the Commodore Crunch system to demilitarize Department of War excess property. Due to the high customization, expertise, and experience of maintaining this equipment, DLA Disposition Services is conducting a sole source action to award this contract to CNC Solutions to perform the maintenance services. Maintenance services are required for the Hydraulic Press Small Arms Demilitarization System, informally known as ‘Commodore Crunch.’ The Hydraulic Press is necessary for demilitarization functions at DLA DS Anniston site. Hydraulic Press operability is imperative to the site’s mission to prevent backlog of material requiring demilitarization. The Contractor shall troubleshoot, diagnose, provide scheduled maintenance, obtain parts, and repair the hydraulic press. The maintenance / repair of this highly specialized equipment is deemed to be available only from the original source, CNC Solutions.
Acquisition planning supports this is a sole source requirement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR [RFO] 12.102(b). This proposed contract will be a Sole Source acquisition under NAICS code 811310 with a size standard of $12.5M.
The Justification and Approval (J&A) is attached to this posting [Attachment 1]. The J&A was prepared according to FAR 6.104. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A solicitation document will not be issued, and quotes will not be requested.
