Full Description

Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of a HyPix-ARC 100° Curved Hybrid Photon Counting (HPC) Detector to replace the existing HyPix-6000HE detector, including removal of the existing detector and installation, integration, calibration, testing, and acceptance verification of the new detector, from Rigaku Americas Holding Inc. as a sole source because the detector must be compatible with the existing Rigaku XtaLAB Synergy-S diffractometer (SN: PL18440046) in the OSU X-ray Diffraction Facility. Rigaku diffractometers require proprietary detectors from the same manufacturer, the upgrade is designed specifically for the existing Rigaku system, and installation requires modification of the existing instrument by certified Rigaku personnel to maintain the warranty and ensure proper calibration and testing. An entity may challenge this determination no later than the closing date indicated on the website. Challenges must be submitted to Loni Spear by email at loni.spear@oregonstate.edu.

Radiation Center Roof | Copy of General Solicitation Posting Template
Solicitation # RFP 00001338
Oregon State University is soliciting proposals for a design-build contractor to perform a roof overlay for the Radiation Center in Corvallis, Oregon. The project involves reroofing approximately 38,500 square feet with a fire-rated EPDM fleeceback system, requiring a minimum thickness of 90 mils, though 145 mils is preferred. The scope includes removing existing rock ballast, installing 1/4 to 5/8 inch of new sub deck material, reworking penetrations above room F010, and repairing or replacing the reactor bay roof hatch. The objective is to provide a minimum of 15 years of extended roof life, with a target life expectancy of 40 years. Due to the nature of the facility, the contractor must manage risks associated with radioactive material research and potential explosions caused by water infiltration while the building remains occupied. The anticipated budget for this project is approximately 3.8 million dollars, with a substantial completion date of September 15, 2027. Key milestones include a pricing amendment proposal due by December 15, 2026, and acceptance by April 30, 2027. Contractors must hold a valid Oregon Construction Contractors Board license and comply with Oregon Prevailing Wage Law. Safety requirements include budgeting for roof tie-off points for fall and swing protection. Proposals must be submitted in PDF format via the OSU Workday Posting Portal by October 21, 2026, at 10:00 am PT, and must include a separate price proposal and a narrative not exceeding 20 pages.
