I-680 Cold Plane AC Pavement and Place RHMA-G (EA 04-4X930)

Caltrans District 4 is seeking a contractor for the I-680 Cold Plane AC Pavement and Place RHMA-G project in San Jose, California. The scope of work involves the cold planing of asphalt concrete pavement and the subsequent placement of Type G rubberized hot mix asphalt on Interstate 680, spanning from post mile M0.0 to M1.6. This specific segment extends from the 280-680/101 Separation to 0.1 mile south of the Alum Rock Avenue overcrossing. All operations will be confined to the paved roadway prism within the Caltrans right of way, and the project includes the replacement of any removed striping and pavement delineation. Expected construction equipment for the project includes grinders, pavers, rollers, loaders, and AC trucks. The forecast for this work is managed by the California Department of Transportation under the guidance of Senior Environmental Scientist Juliane Smith.
