Solicitation F11SOL10002 is an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract for Industrial Hygiene services at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC. While the cost proposal utilizes a rate schedule format, the agreement functions as an IDIQ where established rates are used to calculate individual work orders. Contractors must maintain the capability to provide a four hour emergency response if required, although the specific volume of emergency calls per task order cannot be predetermined. Regarding technical requirements, the contractor is responsible for providing all necessary materials and equipment to conduct fit testing for their staff. Both qualitative and quantitative respirator fit testing are acceptable for tight-fitting respirators, provided that qualitative testing is limited to negative pressure air-purifying respirators with a fit factor of 100 or less. Quantitative fit testing is mandatory for any respirators exceeding a fit factor of 100.
