IFB #27-ODU-04-CCC - Hauling, Moving, and Labor Services

Old Dominion University is soliciting bids under IFB #27-ODU-04-CCC for hauling, moving, and labor services to support its Main and Medical campuses in Virginia. The selected contractor will provide labor, materials, and equipment on an as-needed basis, specializing in office and industrial moves. Key requirements include the ability to provide a staff electrician for modular furniture electrical hook-ups and the use of a hydraulic foot pump for heavy research devices. The contract period runs from the award date through October 31, 2027, with four optional one-year renewals. Award will be granted to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on a time and materials pricing structure for vans, trucks, drivers, supervisors, helpers, and space managers. While the university provides packing materials and labels, the contractor is responsible for ensuring property is protected from damage and inclement weather. Compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 and the E-Verify program is mandatory, and the university reserves the right to require a performance bond equal to the quoted contract price.
