The BPA will include two distinct task orders: one for ICE Health Service Corps (IHSC) and one for U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
IHSC serves as the health authority for ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO), managing direct care for more than 171,000 individuals at 17 IHSC-staffed facilities nationwide (18 with headquarters). IHSC also oversees compliance with ICE detention standards for over 266,000 individuals housed in 217 non-IHSC-staffed facilities, totaling more than 50,700 beds. Health care services include medical, dental, pharmacy, mental health, public health, and disease prevention, delivered by U.S. Public Health Service officers, civil servants, and contracted medical professionals. IHSC expects a total of 1,800 users, with up to 500 of them using the system at the same time (concurrently).
