The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA) – Healthcare Contracting Division - South (HCD-S) intends to award a sole source requirement for BenchMark ULTRA PLUS systems and reagents at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB) 96th Medical Group at Eglin, Florida, to Roche Diagnostics Corporation (Cage Code: 51169) located at 9115 Hague Road, Indianapolis, IN 46256 under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by Revolutionary FAR Overhaul Part 8.4 and General Services Administration Regulation (GSAR) 538.7104-3(b)(ii): Only One Responsible Source. Only one source is capable of providing the supplies or services required at the level of quality required because the supplies or services are unique or highly specialized.
