--INDEFINITE DELIVERY ARCHITECT-ENGINEER SERVICES CONTRACT FOR CIVIL WORKS AND RELATED PROJECTS, PRIMARILY VARIOUS LOCATIONS, ALASKA

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Alaska District, is modifying contract DACW85-03-D-0006 with Tryck, Nyman, Hayes, Inc. to increase its capacity by $500,000 on a sole source basis under FAR 6.302-1. This bilateral modification is intended to maintain contract continuity while a new indefinite delivery architect-engineer contract is being prepared, with a pre-solicitation notice expected around August 17, 2005, and the modification award around August 1, 2005. The contract encompasses a range of services, including reconnaissance and feasibility reports, engineering designs, environmental documentation, and economic evaluations, primarily supporting projects such as small boat harbors, deep draft navigation, ecosystem restoration, flood damage prevention, storm damage reduction, and comprehensive community planning for rural Alaskan villages. The contract falls under NAICS code 541330 and is managed by the Department of Defense’s Alaska District office located in Anchorage, Alaska. The contractor will continue providing civil works and related engineering services mainly at various locations in Alaska. The Government retains sole discretion to decide whether to compete the requirement based on responses to this notice. The modification bridges ongoing needs until a new indefinite delivery contract, procured in accordance with the Brooks Architect-Engineer Act per FAR Subpart 36.6, replaces the current agreement.
