DESCRIPTION: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (“MTA”), acting by and through MTA Construction and Development Company (“MTA C&D”) is seeking to retain the services of multiple NY State certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (“MWBE”) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (“SDVOB” and, collectively with MWBEs, the “Consultants”) to provide Design Services and/or Construction Management and Inspection Services for all phases of State/Local funded construction and security projects for MTA and all its affiliated agencies (the “Projects”). Consultants shall provide services in the disciplines described herein and as required by the relevant Project. Project facilities may include, but are not limited to, tunnels, bridges, terminals and stations, various rail, bus, tunnel and bridge operation and maintenance facilities, office buildings, and communication, power and signal infrastructure. References to “MTA” herein shall be interpreted broadly to include MTA and its affiliated agencies. Consultants awarded Task Orders shall work in collaboration with Project personnel and support staff. Consultants shall provide MTA with sound management advice regarding all services to be performed under Task Orders and shall support Project goals, including the goal to achieve the best quality and value on time and within budget. Consultants shall take all reasonable measures to anticipate problems and delays and to minimize or eliminate their adverse impact to the Project schedule and budget. Consultants shall take the initiative to mitigate circumstances that could lead to claims, to resolve conflicts promptly and to keep MTA advised of any potential disputes and Project delays. Task Orders shall be solicited and awarded pursuant to the Task Order Process set forth in the Contract Documents. Each Task Order is governed by and incorporates by reference the terms and conditions of this Contract but may also include other items that the MTA deems appropriate for a Task Order. The total value of all Task Orders issued under this Contract shall not exceed the total services cost of this Contract series.
