Indian Bar River Access Project (Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. PLA-18568-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Lake Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number PLA-64574-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, for the Indian Bar River Access Project. Located at Hell Hole Reservoir in Placer County, California, the project is managed by the Placer County Water Agency and project proponent Ben Ransom. The scope of work is limited to replacing the existing concrete boat ramp using a similar alignment and constructing a new concrete extension approximately 262 feet long and 20 feet wide. This extension will reach an elevation of 4,505 feet, which is 25 vertical feet lower than the current ramp bottom elevation of 4,530 feet. To ensure environmental protection and regulatory compliance, all construction activities must be performed in dry conditions when water surface elevations are at or below 4,500 feet. The project has undergone review under the California Environmental Quality Act, and the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has determined that the work will not have significant environmental effects within its jurisdiction. Approval was granted contingent upon the adoption of specific mitigation measures and a monitoring plan to ensure environmental safeguards are maintained throughout the project's execution.
