Indian Joe Springs Ecological Reserve, Expansion 1

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is planning to acquire approximately 40 acres of land northeast of Ridgecrest in Inyo County to expand the Indian Joe Springs Ecological Reserve. This acquisition aims to protect critical desert habitats essential to the survival of the Inyo California towhee, Desert tortoise, and Mohave ground squirrel, species that rely on this unique ecosystem.
