Label each question with a general subject matter reference. 3. Keep questions brief and to the point. 4. Do not send information marketing a company's capabilities. An opportunity to submit written questions will be provided during Industry Day. Background information about the DDUS program is provided, below: The DDUS program will develop a dual band Medium Wavelength Infrared / Long Wavelength Infrared (MWIR/LWIR), large-pixel-count prototype sensor based on novel digital readout integrated circuit (DROIC) technology for use in a combined Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) and Degraded Visual Environment (DVE) pilotage system. The goal of this program is to produce a prototype camera capable of performing both DVE and ASE missions, including a large 80+ million electron well readout, high speed (over 120 Hz frame rate), dual band detection, and high resolutions (over 2 million pixels). Currently in their stovepipe configuration, these two system are unaffordable. This program will combine these two high complex capabilities into one novel architecture. Not only will it make these products more affordable but it will also add leap ahead capability for the user. DDUS will be accomplished in four phases producing component prototypes at the conclusion of each phase, culminating with the delivery of an integrated prototype system. The products of DDUS will benefit Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation for insertion into pilotage programs such as Program Manager (PM) Apache Attack, PM Cargo, PM Utility, and PM Vertical Lift. Additionally, the sensor is applicable to Program Executive Office Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors (PEO IEW&S) missions in PM ASE. The novel technologies developed in this program will also directly affect other infrared sensing missions in PM Terrestrial Sensors (TS) and PM Ground Sensors (GS). Capabilities from this effort will give manned air systems important multifunction capabilities including novel on-chip A/D conversion in the pixel, an advancement which provides greater charge collection capacity, LWIR sensitivity and dynamic range. Further, the effort will enable multifunction sensor systems with reduced size, weight, and power (SWaP), as well as cost, to include combined ASE and DVE pilotage. Moreover, dual-band upgrades to tactical systems will provide increased resolution while maintaining sensitivity needed for dirty battlefield conditions (dust, smoke, bad weather). Finally, the technology will provide longer identification ranges in good weather.
