The U.S. Army Contracting Command at Picatinny Arsenal is preparing to develop a plan aimed at transforming Picatinny Arsenal into a Net Zero Energy Installation (NZEI). To gather industry input and expertise for this initiative, they are hosting an Industry Day Conference scheduled for December 11, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Officers Club on Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. This event will provide contractors with preliminary information about the Army's anticipated requirements for the NZEI design plan, allowing them to ask questions and network with other interested firms. A draft Statement of Work will be provided electronically beforehand, and attendees are expected to bring their own copies. Attendance is limited to two representatives per company due to space constraints, and registration must be submitted via email by December 7, 2009. Admission to the conference is based on a first-come, first-served policy, and those not registered will be denied entry. Participation in the Industry Day is encouraged but not mandatory for future solicitations. The Army will not cover any costs incurred by attendees, and this announcement serves solely for informational and planning purposes. A formal Request for Proposal (RFP) may be issued later as a Firm Fixed Price solicitation for the actual design plan, but no solicitation currently exists. Questions about the event are to be submitted in writing to the designated contracting officer.
