Information Exchange For Acquisition Workforce Training Providers The Federal Acquisition Institute (FAI) invites training providers in the acquisition career field including but not limited to contracting, program/project management, and contracting officer representative topics to participate in an information exchange day. The purpose of this information exchange is to provide the acquisition workforce training provider community with an overview of the current and future status of the training and certification programs within the civilian (non-DOD) workforce. Discussions will include training development, scheduling, delivery, and the evaluation process. Vendor participation does not constitute any Government approval or endorsement of any products or services. Date: Wednesday, August 31, 2011 Time: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Location: General Services Administration 1275 First Street, NE Room 201 and 203 Washington, D.C. 20417 Point of Contact: Gloria Poole 703 805-4542 (o) 703 403-5622 (m) The following information is provided for attendance: The closest metro stop is the New York Ave/Florida Ave/Gallaudet University stop on the Red Line. Direction from Metro: Exit the stations through the Florida Avenue, 2nd Street, N.E., exit Walk straight for 2 blocks on N Street, N.E. Turn left on First Street, N.E. Walk a short distance South on 1st St 1275 First Street, N.E., is on your left Visitors to the building should use the First Street entrance. There is no restriction on the number of people from each firm or organization that can attend the information exchange. There is no pre-registration required. However, each attendee will be asked to sign in upon entering the conference room Access to the GSA building will require a valid driver's license or Government ID. Parking is available in the building, but GSA does not validate for parking.
