This position is located in the Program Office at the USAID Mission in Port-au-Prince. The incumbent will serve as the Information Officer, providing the range of information support to the USAID Mission in the context of the Post-earthquake USG stability and reconstruction strategy. The Information Officer is additive to existing Program Office capabilities and will address the wide range of congressional inquiries and reporting requirements affiliated with the $1.4 billion in Supplemental Funding that Congress passed in response to the January 12 earthquake (as noted above USAID/Haiti will be managing about $900 million of the Haiti Supplemental Funding). USAID/Haiti and USAID/Washington will face a multitude of new reporting requirements that the Information Officer will be focused on fulfilling during the implementation of the new reconstruction strategy. The Information officer will serve as a liaison with the Legislative Public Affairs (LPA) office and other USAID/Washington bureaus to assist with USAID/Haiti's role in Congressional and public inquiries.
