Installation of gas delivery and exhaust systems

The Department of Commerce, through the Office of the Director, is forecasting a project for the installation of gas delivery and exhaust systems to be performed in Gaithersburg, Maryland. This initiative focuses on the development of advanced measurement technology, reference data, and materials designed to perform trace impurity gas analysis with unprecedented precision. The primary goal is to enable next-generation diagnostics capable of identifying impurities in process gases at sub-parts-per-billion levels. These advancements are intended to support the creation of industry-ready reference materials and point-of-use diagnostics, which are critical for breakthroughs in high-precision tooling such as extreme ultra-violet lithography. By establishing a framework for impurity fingerprinting with traceability to new gas primary standards and documentary standards, the project aims to significantly enhance overall quality systems.
