Installation of new 240'x12" tile at US-30 (MM160.37 & STA 2234+90) in Story County

The Iowa Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the installation of a new 240-foot by 12-inch diameter tile crossing under U.S. Highway 30 in Story County, located at milemarker 160.37 and Station 2234+90. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary materials, labor, and equipment, including traffic control and signage as specified in the TC-1 standard road plans. The project is estimated to be completed by December 15, 2026, with the contractor required to provide the agency with at least 24 hours notice prior to installation for mandatory inspections. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder who provides the most advantageous submission based on cost, past performance, work capacity, and the ability to meet mandatory requirements. Bidders must be registered with the Iowa Department of Workforce Development and provide their contractor number. If the contract value reaches or exceeds 25,000 dollars, a performance and payment bond covering 100 percent of the contract is required. Payment terms are set at Net 60.
