Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, it is the Government's intent to award a sole source to Avocent Huntsville Corporation, 4991 Corporate Drive, Huntsville, AL, for the purchase of 3 (three) 16 port digital switches, 34 (thirty-four) Server Interfac e Modules, 1 (one) DSVIEW 3-10 user add-on license, 1 (one) DSVIEW 3-5 user add-on license, 3 (three) DSR4020 1 year extended warranty, 1 (one) Mergepoint 5200 Management Appliance, 1 (one) MGP5200 64 Target Activation. Avocent is the sole source for distr ibution of the digital switches which are currently installed at USAG DIOM. This is not a formal solicitation. This synopsis is not considered a Request for Quotation or Proposal. No solicitation document is available and telephone requests will not be hon ored. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. If no affirmative written response i s received, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract price based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
