--INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE, CORRECTION

The government intends to award a sole source contract to Digital Innovation, located at 134 Industry Lane Suite 3, Forest Hill, MD, for service and maintenance support of the proprietary Joint Theatre Trauma Registry (JTTR) v3.0 software. This contract will cover a base period plus two one-year option periods. Since Digital Innovation exclusively owns the JTTR software, they are the only provider authorized to offer support and maintenance for this product. This action is conducted under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, allowing the government to bypass formal competition due to the unique nature of the service. This notice is not a solicitation, nor does it represent a Request for Quotation or Proposal; there is no solicitation document available and telephone requests will not be entertained. While all responsible sources may submit capability statements or proposals for consideration, the government may proceed with awarding the contract without public competition if no challenges or submissions are received by 3:00 p.m. EST on September 22, 2008. Interested parties are required to submit detailed capabilities to the specified email address by the deadline. The government's decision to forego competition remains at its sole discretion.
