The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Interstate Blood Bank, Inc., 150 Jackson Ave, Memphis, TN 38105-2706, on a sole source basis, for the purchase of Male O+ human serum and Male A+ CPDA-1 packed cell unites. This i s for the continuation of current on going research project. Competing this requirement and awarding to any other source would result in substantial delays and disruption of a project already in progress and would also increase the overall cost to the Gove rnment. There is no solicitation number, for reference use PR Number W74MYF77318N058. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or se rvices will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meet ing the Governments requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received at least fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
