Full Description

NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center San Diego (FLCSD) intends to negotiate and award on a sole source basis to Edgeone LLC DBA Edgetech. The Government has a need to procure (6)ea 1500 Meter Titanium Pressure Housing with titanium endcaps and titanium connectors, part number 0020995, for Arctic Submarine Laboratory (ASL). Edgeone is the manufacturer and sole provider for the items. The equipment will be used to upgrade ASLs NAVSEA Approved TempAlt packages. It is required for Grade B shock testing to support upgrading of the TEMPALT Packages. The use of EdgeTechs Side Scan Sonar instrumentation is specifically required for use as listed on ASL’s NAVSEA-approved Drawings8468469, 8468470, 8468471, 8468446, and 8468447. Edgeone’s Side Scan Sonar Instrumentation is the only system able to meet ASL’s technical requirements for compatibility with existing TempAlt systems. Edgeone is the proprietary company for the Side Scan Sonar equipment and operational program. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all bids, proposals, or quotations received by the closing response date will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. FOB Destination applies. In accordance with FAR 5.102(a) (6), the required justification and approval documentation is attached (See Note 22). This Notice of Intent is not a request for quotation. No solicitation or RFQ will be forthcoming. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit product information in response to this notice by 4:00 PM PST, 05 September 2019 via email to contact@example.gov . A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is entirely at the discretion of the Government.
