The U.S. Army Natick Contracting Division, on behalf of the United States Army-Soldier Systems Center, intends to negotiate and award a sole source purchase order to Patterson-Kelley Company for the supply and delivery of a specialized blending system. This system is intended for use in mixing materials for biodegradable fiberboard as part of a collaborative research project with a major university. This announcement serves as a notice of intent rather than a request for proposals and states that any decision not to compete the contract is at the sole discretion of the Government. Interested parties may express their interest and capability to the designated Government contact by the specified deadline, December 30, 2005, by 1 PM Eastern Standard Time. However, telephone inquiries are not permitted, and any information submitted will only be used to determine whether a competitive procurement should occur.
