This contract pertains to the procurement of the CR-3000 Industrial Chemical Coating System from Basic Concepts Inc. The specified area requires a chemical-resistant containment coating that is both durable and flexible to comply with stringent State and Federal regulations. The existing concrete substrate presents cracks and voids, necessitating a product capable of bridging and sealing these imperfections to create an impervious barrier. CR-3000 is selected for its high build quality, 100% elongation, and tensile strength of 3000 PSI, offering a cost-effective solution by eliminating the need for concrete removal and replacement, which would subsequently require additional coatings due to structural movement and settling. The solicitation, issued by Florida's Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management office in Tampa, aims to single source this coating system. The contract emphasizes the urgency with a posted date of December 18, 2025, and a response deadline of December 23, 2025. Contact for this procurement is managed by Brian Nichols, Management Methods Analyst, and Erin Ellis, Procurement Analyst. This acquisition focuses on ensuring environmental containment standards while optimizing cost and operational efficiency through the use of a specialized industrial coating rather than extensive substrate replacement.

Full Description

Area in question needs a durable but flexible chemical resistant containment coating. CR-3000 is a high build, high chemical resistant product with 100% elongation and 3000 PSI tensile strength. The area is required to be impervious due to State and Federal regulations current substrate "concrete" has cracks and potential voids. CR-3000 can bridge, fill and provide an impervious containment system without the cost of removing existing concrete and pouring new concrete which would ultimately need a coating system due to movement/settling and cracking.
