INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE TO ONE LAMBDA

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order and is not a request for competitive proposals under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The government intends to solicit a quote and enter into a purchase order with One Lambda, Inc., Canoga Park, California for the acquisition of LabType SSO/PRA/Class Typing Kits. The proposed vendor, One Lambda, Inc., is the only manufacturer of the various LabType SSO/PRA/Class Typing kits. These kits are used for routine HLA testing and HLA antibody screening. While other platforms may be available, they have not been found to have all the various types of kits needed for HLA testing. Any change to another platform would require validation to ensure the kits and testing work as stated, which would take months to perform. These items need to be awarded before August 18, 2011 to ensure no disruptions in HLA testing. The Government shall consider all responses received prior to the close date of this announcement. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish bonafide capability to fulfill the requirements established above. All responses must be received no later than August 8, 2011, 12:00PM, eastern standard time. The proposed award date will be on or before August 18, 2011.
