The Washington Office - AQM - Job Corps Support Branch intends to award a contract on a sole source basis to James B. Sorrells for a waste water treatment operator services to be performed at the Ouachita Job Corps Center, located in Royal, AR. The contractor is required to provide any and all labor, equipment, services, permits, and license necessary to perform operation and maintenance of the Sewage Treatment Plant at the Ouachita Civilian Conservation Center, located in Royal, AR. A determination not to compete this proposed contract was made pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1 (b)(1), Soliciting from a Single Source, James B. Sorrells, for purchases not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract deem only one source reasonably available. James B. Sorrells has been identified through Market Research as the only vendor in the local area that is capable and willing to provide waste water treatment operator services on the Ouachita Job Corps Center. The anticipated contract will include a one-year base period, and four (4) one-year option periods.
