The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) intends to award on a sole-source basis a purchase order to Remington Arms Company, 870 Remington Drive, Madison, North Carolina 27025-0700 under RFQ-OSCU-0271122545. Remington Arms Company will provide commercial, "off the shelf" miscellaneous weapon parts compatible with Remington weapons currently used by the FBI. Recent market research efforts, to include consulting with fellow law enforcement agencies, resulted in the determination that the FBI's requirement for the referenced weapon parts can only be provided by the Remington Arms Company. In addition, continued use of Remington weapon parts ensures the integrity of the warranty provided by Remington at the time of weapon purchase. The sole source acquisition meets the conditions of FAR 6.302-1 and is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement no later than May 8, 2012, at 2:00PM (EST) to Point of Contact Debora P.
