Internal Alterations to Manor Office, 6 North Street, Crediton, EX17 2BT

Crediton Town Council is seeking qualified contractors for the internal alteration and refurbishment of the Manor Office located at 6 North Street, Crediton. This project involves transforming the ground and first floors of a historic listed building into administrative offices, public reception areas, meeting and workshop spaces, and staff welfare facilities, including accessible WC provision. Due to the nature of the property, the successful contractor must demonstrate expertise in conservation-led construction techniques and heritage working methodologies to protect the building's historic fabric while ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, CDM 2015, and Listed Building Consent. The estimated value of the works is 60,000 pounds excluding VAT. The solicitation process requires a comprehensive submission by October 9, 2026, including a detailed pricing schedule in pounds sterling, a technical method statement, a construction programme with key milestones, and evidence of health and safety competence. Award decisions will be based on a weighted scoring system consisting of Quality and Technical Capability (50%), Price (30%), Programme and Delivery (10%), and Local Economic Benefit (10%).
