Description:
The Intent of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is for the County of Loudoun, Virginia (County) to obtain the services of a qualified General Contractor (“Contractor”) to construct intersection improvements at West Laurel Avenue and East Laurel Avenue intersections with Sterling Boulevard. Improvements consist of installing a new traffic signal at West Laurel Avenue, modification of the median at East Laurel Avenue to accommodate a left-in and right-in/right-out access, and upgrades to existing pedestrian facilities to comply with current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, and associated drainage improvements. The Signal Foundation has been designed and approved by the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). Contractor is to provide and install VDOT pre-approved poles and mast arms. The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to, all surveying, construction layout, maintenance of traffic, earthwork (including the removal of unsuitable material), erosion & sediment control, other environmental controls, safety procedures and complete compliance with all applicable permits, to include but not be limited to, building trade permits. The Project is located within the Sterling Election District, Loudoun County, Virginia (the “Project”).
