Purpose and Background The Irondequoit Fire District is soliciting sealed bids to furnish new NFPA-compliant turnout gear, structural firefighting boots, and helmets. This procurement standardizes firefighter PPE and replaces legacy ensembles in accordance with FEMA AFG program objectives for firefighter safety and operational readiness. Specifications (Technical Requirements) All garments and equipment shall comply with NFPA 1971 (2024 Edition) and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.156.
