Invitation for Bids for On-Call Carpentry/Construction Services

The Town of Raynham is soliciting sealed bids for on-call carpentry and construction services to be performed at various town locations, including repurposed school buildings. The contract will be awarded to up to three of the lowest responsive and eligible bidders based on the pricing provided in the bid form. The initial term of the agreement is one year from the notice to proceed, with the town maintaining the sole discretion to renew the contract for up to two additional one-year increments. Eligible contractors must be licensed in Massachusetts, possess at least five years of construction experience, and provide three professional references. Performance requirements include strict response times, with regular service calls required within three hours and emergency calls within one hour. All personnel must have completed a 10-hour OSHA-approved construction safety course. Bidders are required to submit a bid deposit of 5% of the bid amount and must comply with Massachusetts prevailing wage rates. Insurance requirements include general liability, property damage, and automobile liability coverage of at least 1 million dollars per occurrence, as well as workers compensation in accordance with state law. A payment bond of 50% of the contract price is required for any individual task exceeding 25,000 dollars.
