JOHN KING UTILITY RELOCATION CITY OF CRESTVIEW CRESTVIEW, FLORIDA Sealed Bids for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment and appurtenances necessary for the construction of the John King Utility Relocation will be received at the City Clerk’s Office, 198 N. Wilson Street, Crestview, Florida 32536, until 2pm., local time, on September 29, and then at said location publicly opened and read aloud. A pre-bid meeting will be held on September 10 at 10am local time at the City of Crestview City Hall. The project consists of relocating approximately 360 LF of 6” and 1,086 LF of 12” PVC water main, including associated hydrants, valves, and services. Existing pipe segments to be abandoned will be capped, or plugged, and filled with flowable fill. The Instructions to Bidders, Bid, Contract Agreement, Drawings, Specifications and forms of Bid Bond, Performance Bond, Payment Bond and other Contract Documents may be examined at the following location: 715 N. Ferdon Blvd., Crestview, Florida 32536. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office during the hours indicated above, online at www.cityofcrestview.org, or through Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Bidding Documents are available as Portable Document Format (PDF) files, e-mailed free of charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Engineer of Record’s Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Engineer Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Florida and listed as a certified company in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570, in the amount of five percent of the Bid. No bid may be withdrawn within 120 calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in the preparation of its Bid in response to this Invitation to Bid. The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise.
