On January 10, 2023, Canada issued an Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) (Solicitation WS3821290171 / Client Ref No. 08834-200400/E) allowing for Interested Parties to pre-qualify for Security Screening Equipment in 2 streams.
Stream 1: Conveyor-Style baggage x-ray machines (X-ray); and
Stream 2: Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD).
The ITQ closed on January 25, 2023 at 1400hrs EDT.
This notice serves to announce the Qualified Respondents (QR) as a result of the responses received from the ITQ. ITQ Evaluation Results: The QRs are (in alphabetical order): Stream 1: Conveyor-Style baggage x-ray machines (X-ray) a. Astrophysics Inc.; b. K’(Prime) Technologies Inc.; c. Rapiscan Systems Inc; d. Scintrex Trace Corporation; and e. Smiths Detection Montreal Inc. Stream 2: Walk-Through Metal Detectors (WTMD) a. Astrophysics Inc.; b. K’(Prime) Technologies Inc.; c. Rapiscan Systems Inc.; and d. Smiths Detection Montreal Inc. At this time, only the listed QRs will be invited to participate in the subsequent phases of the Security Screening Equipment procurement process.
