DESCRIPTION: The VA Nebraska Western Iowa Health Care System intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Olympus America, Inc., 3500 Corporate Parkway, Center Valley, PA 18034-0610 under the authority of FAR 6.302-2 due to only having one responsible source with a mandatory Federal Supply Schedule that can provide required guaranteed repair services with loaner and quick turnaround of 42 existing Olympus brand flexible endoscopes with the Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System. AUTHORITY: This is notice of intent to award a sole source under statutory authority 10 USC 2304(c)(1), set forth in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-2, Due to Only One Responsible Source that Will Satisfy Agency Requirements with a mandatory Federal Supply Schedule. Note - No award will be issued from responses to this notice. Response to this notice does not legally bind the Government in any manner. Your concerns will be considered if you respond to this posting with a similar product/service. JUSTIFICATION: The justification for this sole source request is based on the Nebraska Western Iowa HCS maintaining their Olympus flexible Endoscopes in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
