The contract involves the procurement of 10 units of circuit card assemblies designated by NSN 7R-5998-992570224-AZ, to be delivered FOB origin to BAE Systems Integrated Defense in Austin, Texas. This action is a sole-source negotiation with the government intending to contract only with an approved supplier because the item is flight critical and requires government source approval prior to award. The government does not have adequate technical data for full and open competition and has solicited only previously approved sources, making potential new sources subject to a rigorous approval process before contract consideration. Interested parties not currently approved are invited to submit their qualifications and relevant technical data as outlined in the Naval Inventory Control Point Philadelphia Source Approval Information Brochure. Submissions lacking required data or incomplete approval documentation will not be evaluated. The contract’s award depends heavily on the approval status of sources, emphasizing the critical nature of timely source approval to meet government fleet support needs. The contract is managed by the Department of Defense’s Navsup Weapon Systems Support office in Philadelphia and was publicly posted in April 2011 under solicitation number N0038311PG101.
