J--ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SERVICES FOR THE U.S. NAVY UNMANNED UNDERWATER SEARCH AND RECOVERY VEHICLES/SYSTEMS

The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to issue a sole source modification to the existing contract with Oceaneering International, Inc., to extend the provision of engineering and technical services supporting unmanned underwater search and recovery vehicles and systems. This modification will allocate additional funding and man-years to maintain the Unmanned Vehicle Planning Yard Support until a competitive procurement process is finalized. Oceaneering is the current contractor and is uniquely positioned to perform this work due to their specialized technical knowledge of the equipment involved, making them the sole provider capable of ensuring continuity during this transitional period.
