The Department of the Interior’s Western Region is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice to identify qualified Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE) capable of performing HVAC replacement work at the Colorado River Detention Facility. This effort falls under the ISBEE set-aside provisions pursuant to the Buy Indian Act and FAR regulations. The project involves removal and proper disposal of the existing HVAC unit, furnishing and installing a new unit and associated components, fabricating duct transitions, installing a new equipment stand, roof-mounted return air ducting, and providing crane services for equipment placement. All mechanical, electrical, and structural work required for a fully functional, compliant installation must adhere to current industry and regulatory standards. Coordination with facility personnel to maintain safe, uninterrupted operations during construction is also required. Interested vendors must demonstrate eligibility as Indian Economic Enterprises under 25 U.S.C. § 47 and submit an IEE representation form along with a capability statement specific to HVAC and mechanical construction projects, past performance records, and relevant business information including UEI and contact details.
