IBM 3900 Advanced Functions Printers and Peripherals The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with International Business Machines, (IBM) Corporation, 6710 Rockledge Drive, Bethesda, MD 20817-1826 under the Authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)Subsection 6.302-1 - Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satsify agency requirements - to provide maintenance for two Government owned IBM 3900 Advanced Function Printers and all associated peripherals. This equipment is location at the SSA National Computer Center, 6201 Security Blvd. Baltimore, MD 21235. Through market research and previous history, IBM has been determined to be the only reponsible source known who can provide these services. The Government anticipates the award of a three year (Base, plus 2 Option Year) Firm-fixed Purchase Order for the aforementioned IBM 3900 Advanced Function Printers and Peripherals. Contractors who believe they are capable of meeting SSA's requirements are invited to submit information concerning their capabilities, experience and other pertinent data and must have an OEM agreement with IBM. Pricing data may be submitted. This is not a request for proposal and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. Requests for copies of a solicitation will not be honored or acknowledged. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation of the information received. No contract award will be made on the basis of responses received; however, this information will be used in SSA's assessment of capable sources. Response to this notice should be submitted by November 13, 2007, 3:00 p.m. Eastern time and should refer to 3303-08-0028. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered.
