The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound is organizing an industry forum focused on the Maintenance and Lease Program for Material Handling Equipment (MHE). Scheduled for January 8, 2004, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bldg 1013 Auditorium, Naval Station Bremerton, this conference aims to gather industry input on existing commercial off-site preventative maintenance programs for a vehicle pool of approximately 750 MHE units across the Puget Sound region. The discussion will also cover short-term leasing options, with durations of 60 days or less, to address situations where the MHE pool falls below the minimum threshold. The equipment considered will include various sizes, types, and manufacturers to serve multiple military and naval installations in the region. The locations potentially impacted by this program include Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS), Keyport, SWIPAC Bangor, IMF Bangor, Manchester, Whidbey Island, Naval Station Bremerton, Supship, Naval Hospital Bremerton, and Everett Naval Station.
