Solicitation Number: W91ZLK-11-T-0321 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This will be an acquisition under the authority of the test program for commercial items section 4202 of the Clinger-Cohen Act of 1996. The US Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure preventative maintenance and repair for three (3) pieces of equipment. 3D Systems, INC. has the only personnel, spare parts, and software available to service the Government owned equipment. 3D owns the proprietary rights to the software. This procurement action is in support of ECBC, located at Edgewood (APG), Maryland 21010. The three (3) pieces of equipment are as follows: CLIN 0001 SLA 7000, Value Plan, SN: 01EC0142.1 Quantity: 1 CLIN 0002 SLA 3500, Value Plan, SN: 98BA0019 Quantity: 1 CLIN 0003 SLA Viper Value Plan, SN: 02FB0235 Quantity: 1 This award is for the Period Of Performance (POP) of one (1) year from date of award. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) sole source purchase order to 3D Systems, INC. 333 Three D Systems Cir., Rock Hill, SC, 29730-7811. 3D Systems owns the proprietary rights to the required software. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard is $19.0M. All responses received within five (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 4:00 PM EST, August 17th, 2011. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements.
