The contract involves the procurement of 120 units of a fuel injection nozzle for repair or modification, identified under NSN 7H-2910-015350962, with task description version 001. The deliveries are to be made FOB origin to Aviation Power & Marine Inc. located in Boynton Beach, Florida. This contract is issued by the Department of Defense through the Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support office, based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The solicitation, posted as a presolicitation under number N0010413PCA02, specifies that this is not an open competitive bid but rather a sole-source procurement, where the government intends to negotiate exclusively with the current supplier. Although this notice invites interested parties to express interest or submit quotes, the government reserves the right to proceed without competition based on its assessment of the responses and the availability of accurate data from other sources. The notice clarifies that the government lacks sufficient accurate or legible data to procure the part from sources other than the incumbent. This reflects a critical dependency on the existing supplier to ensure proper supply and servicing continuity. While the government will consider any received quotes prior to award, the decision to forego competition remains at its sole discretion. The contract is associated with specialized weapon system support activities and does not indicate any socioeconomic set-aside provisions. Key operational notes and conditions pertinent to the contract are referenced but not detailed in the provided information.
