The Bureau of Reclamation plans to enter into a sole source contract with Tulelake Irrigation District for the operation and maintenance of seven wash rack stations located on Tule Lake Federal Lease Lands, managed by the Klamath Basin Area Office in Oregon. These wash racks are crucial for enabling growers to clean farming equipment and prevent the spread of soil-borne pests. The services required involve various maintenance and operational tasks conducted as needed throughout the year. The acquisition is justified under the Federal Acquisition Regulation provision FAR 6.302-1, allowing for other than full and open competition, though the government invites other firms capable of delivering similar services to submit written notifications with supporting evidence within five calendar days from the date of the notice. Responding firms must provide their Dun and Bradstreet number, Tax Identification Number, and identify their business size according to the appropriate NAICS code 811192 standard. The notice emphasizes that the government retains full discretion to determine whether to proceed with competition based on any responses received. Inquiries and responses are accepted via fax or email directed to the contracting officer, Mary Sims, at the Denver Federal Center under the Department of the Interior. This solicitation represents a key opportunity for businesses experienced in maintenance and operational support related to agricultural equipment sanitation on leased federal lands.
